FAQs

Answers to FAQ's:

Q: How do I schedule an event or sign up for a class?

A: Just send me a payment with a note including the title and date/time of the class. If you prefer, you can message me in advance to secure the date and time of your preference before paying. Please note that you are not officially signed up for the class until your payment is complete.

  • Pick-up (free)

Q: How old do you have to be? Are there other requirements?

A: All guests must have completed payment before arriving to the studio. Students must sign waivers before entrance to the studio. Ages 10 and up. Younger guests will be accommodated upon request. Guests under 18 need to be accompanied by their guardian to sign our waiver. Everyone, including students under 18 are expected to understand simple safety instructions such as do not walk backwards and do not put your hand here. We do not discriminate under any circumstances. We accommodate all levels of ability. If you prefer to request specific accommodations, please message me here.

Q: How many people should I bring?

A: As many as you want to. It is recommended to pay for one guest per project. For Private Lessons and Events: if you wish to bring fewer people, this means guests can use the extra time:

  • Take extra turns, creating multiple projects

  • Create groups for team projects

  • Watch the staff design and create a one-of-a-kind piece of art, that may later be available for purchase

  • Leave early

Q: Can I make anything I want?

A: Maybe one day. I prefer if people choose from my list of projects. There is a very steep learning curve with Glass Art. My classes are designed to deliver a good result while not damaging tools or being dangerous. Safety is a priority. Sometimes I entertain peoples requests, when everyone understands the risk involved.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Shop Attire:

  • Please wear natural fibers such as cotton/linen

  • No synthetic garments such as polyester, acrylic, etc.

  • Most people wear jeans and a tshirt. Long sleeves are fine. Shorts are fine. Layers is a smart way to go. Skirts are OK but nothing too short or flowy.

  • Loose clothing, long hair, loose jewelry, etc. will need to be removed or secured.

  • Safety glasses will be provided for each guest.

  • Guests who wear glasses should wear them that day because our safety glasses fit over them.

  • Contact lenses are not recommended for this activity because a piece of dust could land in your eye and get stuck behind them, so wear them at your own risk.

  • You must wear CLOSED TOE SHOES!

Q: Are your classes at your studio?

A: I am an independent artist and my classes happen at a variety of studios, which I do not own. A Local Glass Studio will be rented.

Q: Can we drink alcohol at your classes?

A: Yes we are BYOB but please be mindful of the inherent danger and risk involved in this activity.

Q: What is the Cancellation Policy?

A:   Guests who cancel within 24hours of their class start time, will be charged a non refundable $64 dollar cancellation fee.

  • Guests can reschedule anytime up to 4 hours before their class start time.

  • My policy is such that if the venue charges me a cancellation fee because of your change to scheduling, you will incur the charges, not me. At this time, their entire cancellation policy is "Cancellations within 24hrs of rental times will be charged $60"

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A:   Cash, check, credit card; in person, by phone (773)-888-1514, or through mail (upon request).
